APPLICATIONS BEING ACCEPTED FOR BOND CITIZENS’ OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE

NOTICE is hereby given that the Mesa Union School District has established a Citizens’ Oversight Committee to oversee expenditures of Measure O bond funds, which was the bond measure approved by District voters on November 6, 2018.  The District is presently accepting applications from interested citizens to serve on the Committee.  The Committee will consist of seven members which meet at least one time per year to review bond expenditures and prepare a report confirming that money is used only for voter-approved purposes.  Maintaining a committee to review expenditures is required by law and was promised to District voters as part of the accountability provisions in the bond measure.  Interested persons may obtain an application from the Superintendent’s Office, located at 3901 North Mesa School Rd. Somis, Ca  or download the application from the District’s website at www.mesaschool.org.  Applications are due by March 29th, 2019 at the office of the Superintendent.
