Welcome to Mesa Union Food Services! Our mission is to prepare Mesa Union students for learning, by providing nutritious and delicious meals every day. Our goal is to encourage students to develop, learn, and establish life-long habits for making healthy food choices.
At Mesa Union School District, we put special emphasis on fresh fruits and vegetables. Being located in beautiful Somis, we are able to benefit from the wonderful abundance of locally grown produce. Our school features Harvest of the Month and offers students a fresh salad bar highlighting a variety of fruits and vegetables. Our menus showcase whole grains, low-fat dairy products, and are free of trans fats.
Mesa Union School District participates in the National School Breakfast and Lunch Program. Every meal we serve meets the state and federal requirements, which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines.

Mesa Union wellness team is committed to the implementation of the Wellness Policy which promotes student wellness, proper nutrition, nutrition and health education, physical education, a safe and positive school climate, healthcare and social services, protecting the environment and more.
The federal government has initiated laws that set standards for improved school meals and requires school districts to follow specific criteria in order to create unique wellness policies.
Our Wellness Policy is the document that complies with the federal law. The Wellness Policy incorporates all components of the Coordinated School Health Model and federal mandates.
