Mesa Moments Recipients March 2017
Dr. Sandhya Patel
Dr. Patel is an exceptional parent volunteer. She has dedicated her time and expertise in many ways. As a doctor, she has volunteered as a guest speaker. As a parent she has coached for Camarillo Academic Olympic Super Quiz teams and organized the Spelling Bee. In all these capacities she has shown a commitment to Mesa students.
Peter Lan & Dana Lan
Peter and Dan Lan are the PFO Co-Presidents. The time and effort they have put into making the 2016-2017 school year a year to remember is evident. From the start of the year, their innovative $1/day membership drive was a tremendous success! They demonstrate teamwork and leadership as a couple as well as a family by organizing and carrying out new and exciting events like the Family Movie Nights. They are creative and dedicated to making Mesa a place we are all proud to be a part of. The level of commitment and service they offer to the Mesa community, especially the students, is much appreciated.
Maribel Carino-Alvarez is very deserving of being honored by the Mesa community. She has worked hard to make positive changes to the library. There are inviting and colorful book displays for the children to see as soon as they enter the library. The new system for checking out books it easier and faster for all. She very graciously took on the Read for Success Program sponsored by the PFO. Maribel is a kind, patient and committed librarian who always is available to help Mesa students.
